weekend double feature

This weekend we are celebrating Cam's Ninth Birthday.

How did that happen so fast?

We went from this..

to this, in the blink of an eye.

He is such a compassionate, gentle boy.
He is the first to lend a helping hand, and has plenty of hugs to spare.
He is a math genius, and wants to become an engineer and build solar powered cars!
So when he asked to invite 14 boys to play laser tag...

how could we say no?!!

I will be making a cupcake version of this at some point
- um, maybe tomorrow morning...
while having a strong cup of coffee and some extra-strength tylenol!

We always let the kids choose a restaurant for their birthday dinner,
so we're off to the Mandarin this evening,
then a larger dinner with D's family here tomorrow after the kids party.
D is going to spark up the bbq out in the snow for me -
have I mentioned I love that man?

Oh yes, and Valentines Day is monday,
which means on sunday we will making 100 cookies for the kids to hand out to their friends!
The y definitely won't be as pretty as these, but they will taste great :)

Guess the roman blinds are going to wait a little longer, lol!
What are you all up to?
Any projects this weekend?

x

It's amazing how quickly the time passes isn't it? My kids are about to turn 13 and 10 and I feel like they were just babies yesterday. Have a fun time and may I suggest you get a bottle of wine ready for after the party:) Carol
