I don't usually re-post from another blog,
but after seeing this on Poppytalk and Bijou and Boheme
this morning I was so inspired!
I have missed an issue during re-subscription madness, and hadn't seen this yet -
color-tipped furniture!
A bit like dip-dyed clothing, non?
What a fab way to freshen up a few pieces around the house,
because shabby chic is looking a bit, well, shabby to me these days :)
Above, from House and Home, and the creative genius of Cameron McNeil.
Below, from the Etsy shop, Sparrow"s Nest, from Nichole of Parlour.
then I went exploring... how cool would these be with a little color dip enhancement?
I'm off to search the house for victims :)

I kind of really like this trend :) I have a chair sitting beside me that might soon see some paint!
Ooh. Both interesting and tempting!
xo,

The first time I saw this was at Nichole of Parlour's blog.
I remember thinking that her chairs looked like they had beautiful little booties on.
I love it and am tempted to take my chair legs for a dip.
Interesting...but not quite sure it's for me. I do agree though that Shabby Chic is looking as you said a little Shabby
I saw these chair sets today while I was blog-hopping! On first glance, I just thought the legs were very short! LOL I think it might be fun to explore, but I'm not sure the trend will take off...but what do I know?? I think I kind of like it??
I like the top of the first chair, but the booties are a bit strange for my taste. Looks like a pedicure!
I saw this in the latest House and Home, it is kind of a neat treatment but I am Rambling Renovators, looks like a pedicure.
I've been eyeing those pink toed chairs for a while now, you've inspired me to hunt for something to paint, haha!
Happy Hunting!!
it's fun and slightly irreverent, and the pink tips especially made me think of satin shoes, the type you'd add to punch up a LBD. @Barb of Hodge Podge and @ Rambling Renovator, maybe it's the color? My toes are the exact same shade at the moment :) Or maybe you just don't like it, LOL.
