This is brilliant.
(Found on Hello My Dear -
please go and visit this one,
Sarah is the bee's knees..)
Foster Huntington has created The Burning House Site.
He invites people to take a photo of the things they'd take if the house was on fire,
and then he posts them.
What we cherish most offers a glimpse of our truest selves...
Now I just have to try and round up D., the three darlings and two manic pups for a pic :)
...and maybe my iphone.
What would you take?

Soo interesting and cool! Love the idea...I would definitely make sure our pets, wedding album, and computer made it out! But it is interesting to ponder!
Yeah! Share it! It's such a great project. xo
Oh wow! That's interesting...
I'd definitely get hold of my son without any second thoughts...
and then important papers and documents... and definitely my computer, it stores a lot of my family's memories ♥
Oh... I'm happy to have found your blog, I'm now a happy follower ♥
Truly as long as I have my family and our dog, I would feel very lucky. If I had a few minutes, would grab however many pictures I could, am a huge picture fanatic and have them all over our home so that wouldnt' be difficult but they are also so priceless and not replacable so are very precious to me.
I don't think I think clearly under pressure. I sometimes freeze. I think if I got the kids and the dogs I would be happy. Nothing else matters. xo
My kids and photos!
I posted this clever site on my FB page also. Not only is it an interesting concept, I think it can actually help individuals determine what's important and what they can afford to leave behind. Me? Laptop, external hard drive, photos, engraved iPod, wedding ring, my father's diamond ring, purse w/wallet, credit cards, etc. inside. Hope to return and find the strong box intact.
Well, hubby, of course and my pups... and I'd probably grab the jewelry box!
