so we've been working double overtime round here...
during the holidays I looked at those dreary grey walls and decided enough was enough.
Down came the art,
out came the plaster,
and with it promise of a clean slate.
There's nothing quite like rolling on that first coat of primer, is there?
That cinderblock grey ran through our entry, the halls on each floor, the kitchen, dining room and family room.
Just a wee bit of painting!
Along with the walls, the dining room and living room are getting the attention they deserve...
I've embraced the hue of the Love Chairs (as the darlings have named them), and here's a hint at the direction we're headed...
It's been years since I've truly embraced such pure, saturated colour into our home,
and the energy that it brings is incredible!
The posts may be a bit sporadic as I endeavour to get the painting finished...
wouldn't life be easier if I could be satisfied with someone else's painting skills?
Just can't do drips, darlings...

Can't wait to see what you do with the space!
What an incredible palette to work with! Such a bold change! Can't wait to see more! :)
to tell you the truth, i'm not big on pink or red, or anything that saturated. But since I started using these colours in Baby C's room, I'm in love. Like you say, the pure ENERGY that these colours bring is incredible. I balance it out with a lot of white and I"m not not completely ovewhelmed.
Can't wait to see your progress!
That's going to be such a change! I can't wait to see it done! We had a home that was painted yellow in every room, hall, stairwell, kitchen, bathroom... needless to say, I'm never living with yellow again!
Ohh so excited to see the finished product! I love the palette...I wish I was so brave. I'm still struggling with the turquiose in the laundry room decision. Good luck!
Happy Monday!
I hear ya! With our dreary Canadian winters grey is a bit much. I love your inspiration. I own one of the Esther Bayer prints and adore it:)
I am seriously excited about this!! I know that may sound a bit silly, but I *can't wait* to see. So don't take a break until you're done. ;-)

Wonderful palette! I have totally stepped out of my color comfort zone and the results are stupendous. I hope you are as thrilled.

As much as I love my own grey walls I love the direction you're heading, I've been thinking about incorporating some strong pink into my place so it will be fun to see what you do!
LOVE your palette! It's inspiring me to add more color into our fairly neutral place. Can't wait to see how everything turns out!
I have a feeling it's going to be amazing!!
Thats a big change! Like the way your heading, look forward to see how it turns out. Very fresh splashy colors! I use to have hot pink as a main color but am now changed to blues. Still some bright colors via decorations and pillows though, wouldn't want to miss the energy;)
Wish you much succes with all the painwork! I can still remember the muscle pain from a couple of months ago, so good luck;)
Paint work ofcourse, not painwork. Although its both haha.
Oooh, fun to have a change!
Ahh, yes. I love these beautiful hues. Go for it, I say. You only live once and to have such a lively palette in your life can only make you happy.
