the two-headboard look....

We are finally beginning the search for a new bed frame for our room because the one that we have, albeit beautiful, is supremely uncomfortable. If I HAVE to be practical (ugh!) that means my first choice in headboards, the Hacienda from Casamidy, is also out...

So fantastical - especially in the gold, right? But I know I'd wake up bleeding.... and although in the past I've lusted after giant upholstered headboards and Anthro's campaign canopy, today I find myself strangely drawn to these....

Not sure whether it's the extra detailing or the symmetry, but a kijiji/cragslist purchase is lurking suggestively on the horizon...

Right - time to stop shopping and start working :) Catch you all on friday - x

This is quite interesting! I can't say I've noticed this trend around lately. But I like the concept. Thanks for sharing here. Good luck with the bed frame hunt :)

I love the idea of a pair of headboards - I'm quite partial to the tufted ones! As for the gold, I see so much OTT decor here in Dubai in gold gold gold - it has ruined gold for me. I just couldn't do it.

I am a big fan of oversized tall headboards and you have some unique and really cool choices here. I'm not afraid to go a little over the top, see the jeweled headboard I made in my post "A Bedroom Fit For A Queen". http://ilanagraf.blogspot.com/2012/03/bedroom-fit-for-queen.html. I'd love to hear what you think of it.

I like the big silver one and the tufted uphostered ones. I've always wanted a tufted upholstered headboard. After the work that went into my jeweled one, I can't seem to part with it. :)

Headboards are the most attractive part for any bed, the antique collection of headboards is quite fantastic and i like the concept of having a board of a bed with metal which looks very beautiful.
